How tuition works

What sets tuition

Tuition depends on the student's program (little ones, kids, teens, adults or the family class), how many classes a week they attend and whether one person or a whole family enrolls. The figures are on the enrollment page, and we go over them with you at the first class.

Registration

One payment when you join covers the uniform, the first belt and setting up your enrollment file. It is due when you enroll, and its figure is on the enrollment page.

Holding a place

A place in a class is held once you finish enrolling. When a class is full we keep a waiting list and call families in order when a place opens. Children's classes have up to 12 students; teen, adult and family classes up to 16.

Billing

Tuition is billed monthly by autopay. The next billing date shows on the enrollment page, and we send a reminder before it changes.

Siblings

A family plan covers more than one student in the same household, including a parent training beside a child. We explain what it covers at the first class, because it depends on who trains and when.

Withdrawing

Enrollment runs month to month. To stop, tell us in writing at least 30 days ahead; the month in progress is billed as usual. You can pause for illness, travel or a busy season: ask us how.

Missed classes and make-ups

A missed class can be made up in another class for the same age group and belt level during the same session. Tell the front desk ahead and we'll find one that fits. Make-ups don't carry into the next session.

Uniforms, gear and other costs

Beyond tuition, a few other charges exist, and each is for something specific. Their figures are on the enrollment page.
